Shirley and Randall Freshwater, 18th Feb 2012

We found our cabin to be modern and very clean. Every thing was supplied. Even toilet deodorant, fly spray, detergent,
soaps and shampoo etc. This is a nice quiet location next to the ocean and close to shops and the ferry. The reception/host is most helpful and very friendly. We would recommend this park to everyone.
Thank you for a lovely stay.

2nd time I have stayed here. very peaceful, right next to the water (nice to have a little picnic outside on good days). very quiet, not noisy. and very clean too. cant wait to come stay there again!

Laila, 23rd Jul 2011

This park was extremely peaceful with beautiful scenery right next door. I enjoyed every minute of my stay in July. It was like having my own little house, for a very great price. And exceptionally great customer service also. Would most definitely stay here again, when in Tasmania again. 5 star accommodation. I recommend it above all other hotels in Devonport. I only stayed 3 nights but for next time i will make it two weeks :-). Thanks for a very lovely and peaceful stay, and see you again soon.

Judy and Don Scott, 16th Jul 2011

Great park, excellent facilities, friendly staff, quiet location.....everything to make a holiday relaxing....will certainly return.

Terry and June Mobbs, 16th Jun 2011

We stayed two nights and found the staff very friendly and couldn't do more for us, the location is what we booked it for and we were not disappointed - will definitely be staying again and would recommend this park to everyone

This year, Devonport Jazz will welcome two world-class trumpeters - Bob Barnard and James Morrison, to headline the 2012 festival program.

Both instrumentalists enjoy reputations as two of the best mainstream trumpeters in the world and are icons of Australian Jazz. Bob Barnard AM has played at most of the major jazz festivals of the world, both with his own bands and as a featured artist with international legendary line-ups. James Morrison has also developed an international reputation playing with the likes of Dizzy Gillespie, Cab Calloway, George Benson, Ray Charles and B.B. King.

While Devonport Jazz has hosted some master musicians over the last ten years, including Graeme Bell, Don Burrows and Janet Sidel, this will be Mr Barnard and Mr Morrison’s first visit to Tasmania’s premiere Jazz festival.

James Morrison and his band will be presenting a one-off concert at the Devonport Entertainment and Convention Centre showcasing his current repertoire. James will also run a masterclass for local instrumentalists.

Bob Barnard will be headlining the Tribute to Louis Armstrong and the Great American Songbook concerts. Also appearing with Bob will be Peter Locke, Paul Furniss, Nick Haywood and Allan Browne in an all-star line-up.

Devonport

Devonport is a coastal city of 25,000 people situated in the centre of Tasmania's North Coast. With a modern airport and the Bass Strait ferry terminal linking the city to Melbourne, Devonport is an arrival point for a large number of visitors to Tasmania each year. Devonport is the perfect place to make your base in Tasmania's North-West where you'll discover some of Tasmania's best national parks, food and wine experiences and history and heritage.
Cradle Mountain, Devonport is favoured with a temperate coastal climate influenced by the ocean. This maritime influence moderates all aspects of the climate and is evident in the small range between summer and winter average temperatures.
Devonport is particularly well provided for in it's reserves and recreational facilities. Parkland, which has been established along the Mersey Estuary, along the whole Coastal foreshore and in the Don River valley, contains a cycling/walking track linking many of the City's recreational facilities. Sport is well catered for with The Oval hosting international cricket as well as being a venue for cycling and running carnivals and a home ground for Tas. Football (Aust. Rules) League games. There are dedicated centres for Hockey, Netball, Soccer, Swimming & Basketball.

Flat Screen TV's

All cabins now boast 32" flat screen tv's to enhance your Austar experience. Fox sports has never looked better.
